CARSON CITY, Nev., Sept. 27, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Mexus Gold U.S. (OTCBB: MXSG), a Nevada Corporation, is pleased to announce Mexus’s Tug “The Caleb” is moving our 230′ barge to a boat yard north of Seattle, Wash., near the Canadian-U.S. border, where the boat yard has been retained to set our special Automated Cable Pulling “ACP” Equipment on the large barge with their 100-ton crane.

CEO Paul Thompson states, “We are moving forward with the placement of the ACP Equipment on the barge, which is set to begin on Sept 29, 2010. Once this is completed it will allow us to move the tug and barge into place and begin cable recovery operations mid-October in Alaska.” He went on to state, “With the purchase of this equipment, and our previously announced funding contract with PowerCom Services, we are ready to rapidly move forward toward recovering cable and starting to generate multiple revenue streams for Mexus.”
Earlier Mexus announced the details of our equipment purchase with Island Tug & Barge Co. for the Deck Barge ITB-230ON 298799. The 236.8ft by 60.1ft by 14.4ft barge can hold up to 6,000,000 lbs of material. This Barge has a concrete deck evenly spaced with H Beam rungs and a 60″ fence around the perimeter that is ideal for our pulling equipment and loading of the cable.
The picture shows Mexus Automated Cable Pulling “ACP” Equipment, which is a fully automated track pulling shearing system, specifically built by Mexus for the cable project. The pulling system has completed the first test runs and is now being readied for shipment to a ship yard in Washington State for installing on the Barge.
